King Saud University’s Deanship of Electronic Transactions and Communications was established in 1978 as the Computer Center in Al Malaz. After a humble beginning, using rented computers from IBM, the Center’s name was changed to Computer and Data Processing Administration and thus began a program of fast-paced development and acquisition of computers.
